Santa Fe Downtown
Set in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, Santa Fe is an intersection of natural beauty, cultural sophistication, spiritual nurturance and sensual delights. With just under 75,000 inhabitants, Santa Fe is a small town yet one whose many dimensions give it an outsized international presence. Skiers, cyclists and hikers enjoy its steep peaks and clean air. It’s a mecca for photographers, artists, art lovers and opera fans. Trained brains abound, thanks to The Santa Fe Institute, several colleges and nearby Los Alamos National Laboratories. Over its 400 year history, several cultures have left their mark on the city’s food, architecture and character. There is so much to live and love here in the City Different. Beautiful, complex and creative, it gripped my heart nearly thirty years ago and remains a wonderful place to call home.
